In 2000, Porsche introduced the 996 Turbo, equipped with four-wheel-drive and a 3.6 litre, twin turbocharged and intercooled flat-six derived from the GT1 race car producing 420bhp.
Performance was phenomenal at the time and frankly still pretty impressive today with a 0 to 60 mph coming up in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 189mph.
It was available with either a 5-speed Tiptronic transmission or the now desirable, 6-speed manual gearbox and was highly specified as standard.
This example is a 2003 model which has only covered a mere 35,000 miles from new and is finished in black with black leather interior and features over and above the standard specification the following options:
Aluminium look dashboard trim strip
Aluminium look instrument surround
Aluminium look side air vents
Aluminium look center air vent bracket
Aluminium look door panel parts
Leather covered ignition lock surround
Leather defroster trim
Stainless steel tailpipes
Aluminium look instrument faces
Gear lever knob with aluminium inlay
Handbrake lever with aluminium inlay
Wheel caps with colored Porsche crest
If you are looking for a clean, well specified and low mileage 996 Turbo with a desirable colour combination, fully prepared and warranted, then look no further.
What do we think?
- Very well specified
- Low mileage
- Desirable colour combination
- Imperfect service history due to lack of use
- Styling of the 996 generation still divides opinion
